In a sit-down discussion Monday with President Bush, elected President will get his first feel for the place where all the nation’s decisions seriously will soon fall to him.

President George W. Bush invited Obama for a private talk in the Oval Office located in the White House this Monday, a common ritual that was started decades ago where the president invited his successor for “quick chat”. Bush and Obama are expected to review the nation’s major economic decline and the war in Iraq.

“I go in there with the spirit of bipartisanship, and felt that both the president and leaders of various Congress realize the severity of the situation now and want to get this done,” said Obama last week when asked about his meeting with President Bush.

Obama won the U.S. presidential election in a landslide on Tuesday last week. He ran a campaign in which he relentlessly relate the People’s opponent John McCain to Bush and he presented all his thoughts and fresh ideas as an alternative to what Obama called Bush’s failed policies.

Obama thanked Bush for being so friendly and gracious. After winning the election, Barack Obama is in transition to power, he will start his new job as U.S President on 20 January 2009.
